Screenshots or screenshots are a quick and easy way to capture and then save part or all of the screen display on the device you are using.
From sports looks to pictures you want to share with friends. It can be easily stored in your computer archive without any hassle.
You need to know, if you take a screenshot on a laptop or private laptop (PC) with the Windows operating system, you can't just use one method to do it.
How to Screenshot on Laptop and PC
There are many methods that you can use to save the display on your gadget screen. Let's take a look at the various ways to take screenshots on the screen of your laptop computer and PC below:
1. Using the Print Screen Key (PrtScn)
To capture the entire screen, press the Print Screen (PrtScn) button. The screenshot will not be saved as a file, but will be copied to the clipboard.
Therefore, you have to open an image editing application like Microsoft Word or Paint, and copy the screenshot you just took to that application.
After the results are visible on the screen, you just have to save the screenshot image.
2. Using Alt Key + Prtscn
To quickly take a screenshot of an active Windows, use the keyboard shortcut Alt + PrtScn.
This will capture your currently active Windows and copy the screenshot to the clipboard. You have to open the app in an image editor to save it.
3. Using Windows Key + Prtscn
To capture the entire screen and automatically save the screenshot, press the Windows key + Prtscn key.
Your screen will briefly dim to indicate that you just took a screenshot, and the screenshot will be saved to the images folder ==> screenshot.
4. Using the Windows Key + Shift + S
The screen will dim and the laptop computer mouse pointer will change. You can drag the cursor to select the part of the screen to take a picture of.
The screenshot will be copied to the clipboard, which you can paste into another software or application. (This shortcut only works if you have the latest version of Windows 10 operating system installed).
5. Using Windows Logo Key + Volume Down
If you are using a Microsoft Surface device, you can use the physical buttons to take a screenshot of your entire screen.
Similar to the way you take screenshots on other phones or tablets.
To do this, hold down the Windows emblem-touch button at the bottom of your Surface screen and press the physical volume-down button on the side of the tablet. The screen will dim briefly and the screenshot will be automatically saved to the images folder ==> screenshot.
6. Using Game Bar
You can use the game bar to take screenshots, whether you're playing a game or not.
Press Windows key + G to bring up the game bar. From here, you can click the screenshot button in the game bar or use the default keyboard shortcut Windows key + Alt + PrtScn to take a full-screen screenshot.
To set your own game bar screenshot keyboard shortcut, you can go to settings ==> sports ==> recreation bars.
7. Using the Snipping Tool
This application can take screenshots with more flexible structures such as rectangles, active Windows only, or full screen.
How to use it simply open the default Windows application, namely the Snipping Tool. Once open, click the new button to start the screenshot process.
The default snip type is a rectangular snip, but you can also grab snips in other free layouts.
Snipping device doesn't automatically save screenshots, you have to save them manually in the app before you exit. If you have, this application will automatically copy your screenshot to the clipboard.
8. Using Third Party Apps – LightShot
If you want more options for selecting and customizing screenshots (and don't mind downloading a new app), you can download the LightShot app.
LightShot may be a better option for more professional work or screenshots that require significant editing
